2 Corinthians, 9

2. I know your readiness and I praised you before the Macedonians. I said, "In Achaia they have been ready for the collection since last year." And your enthusiasm carried most of them along.

Acts 20:35: "In everything I have shown to you that, working, it is necessary to assist the sick and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said, more blessed is to give than to receive." Paul quotes Jesus' words to emphasize the joy and blessing of giving, encouraging believers to live in generosity and service to others.
