2 Chronicles, 10

16. Then the entire people, speaking more harshly to the king, spoke to him in this way: “There is no portion for us in David, and there is no inheritance in the son of Jesse. Return to your dwellings, O Israel. Then you, O David, shall pasture your own house.” And Israel went away to their dwellings.

Chapter 10 of 2 Chronicles narrates the story of how King Roban, Son of Solomon, became the king of Judah after his father's death. " This verse highlights how the division between the kingdom of Israel led to internal conflicts and the weakening of both parties. This shows that unity is important for the survival of a kingdom.

1 Samuel 8:7: "The Lord said to Samuel, Attends the voice of the people in all that tells you, for they have not rejected you, but they rejected me, so I do not reign over them." This verse is similar to the prophecy of 1 Kings 12:15, showing that the people's desire for a different leader was seen as a rejection of God as his king.

Galatians 5:14: "For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." This verse emphasizes the importance of love and empathy in dealing with other people. If Roban had loved his people and considered his needs, he could have avoided the division of the kingdom of Israel.
