1 Kings, 11

26. Also, there was Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite from Zeredah, a servant of Solomon, whose mother was named Zeruah, a widowed woman. He lifted up his hand against the king.

1 Kings 11:43: "And Solomon slept with his parents, and was buried in the city of David, his father; and Robuam, his son, reigned in his place." This verse shows how Solomon's reign came to an end, leaving a mixed legacy of great wisdom and wealth, but also of disobedience and apostasy.
