1 Samuel, 1

23. And Elcana her husband said to her: Do what seemeth good to thee, and stay till thou wean him: and I pray that the Lord may fulfil his word. So the woman stayed at home, and gave her son suck, till she weaned him.

Luke 1:46-47: "And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior." This is the beginning of the song of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, who is similar to the song of Ana in 1 Samuel 2. Both women expressed their gratitude to God for their faithfulness and kindness.

James 5:16: "Confess, therefore, your sins to each other and pray for each other, to be healed. The prayer made by a righteous can much in its effects." This verse talks about the importance of prayer and mutual support in the Christian community, something Ana found in the house of God, where she poured her heart before the Lord.
