James, 5

17. Elijah was a human being like us; yet he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain upon the land.

1 Peter 4:8: "First of all, however, he tends to be fiery to one another; for love covers a multitude of sins." Love and solidarity are fundamental in times of difficulty, such as those described in St. James 5, and Peter emphasizes the importance of loving each other and helping each other.

Philippians 4:6: "You are not restless for anything; before your petitions are in all known before God for prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving." Paul encourages Christians not to be overwhelmed by the difficulties of life, but to pray to God in all situations and thank their blessings.
