Judith, 15

5. And when the Israelites heard it, with one accord they fell upon the enemy, and cut them down as far as Choba. Those in Jerusalem and all the hill country also came, for they were told what had happened in the camp of the enemy; and those in Gilead and in Galilee outflanked them with great slaughter, even beyond Damascus and its borders.

Psalm 68:1: "God gets up, his enemies are dispersed, and his opponents flee before Him." This verse describes God's victory over his enemies, which is similar to Judite's victory over Holofernes and the Assyrian army.

Isaiah 41:10: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be terrified, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will hold you with my victorious right hand." Judite may have found courage and strength to face the Assyrian army knowing that God was with her and would help her to win.

Joshua 1:9: "Didn't I order you to be strong and brave? Do not be afraid or beyond, for the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go." This verse encourages Joshua to lead the people of Israel to the Promised Land and may have served as an inspiration to Judite, who led his people to victory against the Assyrians.
