Zephaniah, 1

3. I shall sweep away humans and animals, the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, I shall topple the wicked and wipe all people off the face of the earth -declares Yahweh.

Ezekiel 30:3: "Because the day approaches, yes, the day of the Lord is already close; Cloud Day will be, the time of the nations." This verse highlights the proximity of the day of the Lord, which is an important theme in Sophonies 1.
