Chapter 2 of the Book of Hosea addresses the relationship between God and Israel, comparing it with a marriage in crisis. The prophet Hosea talks about the infidelity of Israel and the punishment that will come because of it. He then talks about Israel's repentance and the restoration of the relationship with God. Isaiah 54:5: "For your Creator is your husband; the Lord of hosts is His name; and the Holy of Israel is thy Redeemer; which is called the God of all the earth." This verse talks about God's relationship with his people, comparing it with a marriage. This relates to the central theme of Hosea 2.
Jeremiah 3:1: "They say, If a man says goodbye to his wife, and she leaves him, and gathering himself to another man, will he make him more to her? This relates to the theme of Hosea 2 about Israel's repentance and the restoration of his relationship with God.
Isaiah 62:5: "For as the young man marries the virgin, so your children will marry you; and as the groom rejoices in the bride, thus rejoicing with you your God." This verse talks about God's love for his people and his joy in seeing them restored to him. This relates to the theme of Hosea 2 about the restoration of God's relationship with Israel.
