Romains, 10

1. Frères, le v?u de mon c?ur et ma prière à Dieu pour eux, c'est qu'ils soient sauvés.

1. Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God on their behalf is for salvation.

2. Car je leur rends le témoignage qu'ils ont du zèle pour Dieu, mais c'est un zèle mal éclairé.

2. I testify with regard to them that they have zeal for God, but it is not discerning.

3. Ne connaissant pas la justice de Dieu, et cherchant à établir leur propre justice, ils ne se sont pas soumis à la justice de Dieu.

3. For, in their unawareness of the righteousness that comes from God and their attempt to establish their own (righteousness), they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

4. C'est qu'en effet le fin de la Loi c'est le Christ, pour la justification de tout homme qui croit.

4. For Christ is the end of the law for the justification of everyone who has faith.

5. En effet, Moïse dit de la justice qui vient de la Loi : " L'homme qui mettra ces choses en pratique vivra par elles. "

5. Moses writes about the righteousness that comes from (the) law, "The one who does these things will live by them."

6. Mais voici comment parle la justice qui vient de la foi : " Ne dis pas dans ton c?ur : Qui montera au Ciel " Ce qui signifie en faire descendre le Christ;

6. But the righteousness that comes from faith says, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will go up into heaven?' (that is, to bring Christ down)

7. ou : " Qui descendra dans l'abîme? " Ce qui signifie faire remonter le Christ d'entre les morts

7. or 'Who will go down into the abyss?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)."

8. Que dit-elle donc? " Près de toi est la parole, dans ta bouche et dans ton c?ur. " C'est la parole de la foi que prêchons.

8. But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we preach),

9. Si tu confesses de ta bouche Jésus comme Seigneur, et si tu crois dans ton c?ur que Dieu l'a ressuscité des morts tu seras sauvé.

9. for, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10. Car c'est en croyant de c?ur qu'on parvient à la justice, et c'est en confessant de bouche qu'on parvient au salut,

10. For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.

11. selon ce que dit l'Ecriture : " Quiconque croit en lui ne sera pas confondu. "

11. For the scripture says, "No one who believes in him will be put to shame."

12. Il n'y a pas de différence entre le Juif et le Gentil, parce que le même Christ est le Seigneur de tous, étant riche envers tous ceux qui l'invoquent.

12. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, enriching all who call upon him.

13. Car " quiconque invoquera le nom du Seigneur sera sauvé. "

13. For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

14. Comment donc invoquera-t-on celui en qui on n'a pas encore cru? Et comment croira-t-on en celui dont on n'a pas entendu parler? Et comment en entendra-t-on parler s'il n'y a pas de prédicateur?

14. But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?

15. Et comment seront-ils prédicateurs, s'ils ne sont pas envoyés? selon qu'il est écrit : " Qu'ils sont beaux les pieds de ceux qui annoncent le bonheur ! "

15. And how can people preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring (the) good news!"

16. Mais tous n'ont pas obéi à l'Evangile; car Isaïe dit : " Seigneur, qui a cru à notre prédication? "

16. But not everyone has heeded the good news; for Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what was heard from us?"

17. Ainsi la foi vient de la prédication entendue, et la prédication se fait par la parole de Dieu.

17. Thus faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.

18. Mais je demande : n'ont-ils pas entendu? Au contraire : " Leur voix est allée vers toute la terre, et leurs paroles jusqu'aux extrémités du monde. "

18. But I ask, did they not hear? Certainly they did; for "Their voice has gone forth to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world."

19. Je demande encore : Israël n'en a-t-il pas eu connaissance? Moïse le premier a dit : " J'exciterai votre jalousie contre une nation qui n'en est pas une; j'exciterai votre colère contre une nation sans intelligence. "

19. But I ask, did not Israel understand? First Moses says: "I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a senseless nation I will make you angry."

20. Et Isaïe pousse la hardiesse jusqu'à dire : " J'ai été trouvé par ceux qui ne me cherchaient pas, je me suis manifesté à ceux qui ne me demandaient pas. "

20. Then Isaiah speaks boldly and says: "I was found (by) those who were not seeking me; I revealed myself to those who were not asking for me."

21. Mais au sujet d'Israël il dit : " J'ai tendu mes mains tout le jour vers un peuple incroyant et rebelle."

21. But regarding Israel he says, "All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contentious people."
