Hosea, 10

5. The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof [that] rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

Hosea Chapter 10 talks about the punishment that Israel will suffer because of its idolatry and infidelity. The prophet compares the people to a rebellious vineyard and predicts the destruction of their altars and idols. '"This passage emphasizes the importance of true circumcision of the heart and repentance to prevent the wrath of God.

Psalm 51:17: "The sacrifices that please God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou shalt not despise." This verse shows that God values ​​humility and contrition rather than external sacrifices or religious formalities.

Isaiah 45:9: "Woe to the one who contains with his creator! Caco among other clay shards! Handles'? " This verse highlights God's sovereignty and the futility of the rebellion against him.
