2. And the sons of Tola; Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their father's house, [to wit], of Tola: [they were] valiant men of might in their generations; whose number [was] in the days of David two and twenty thousand and six hundred.

Verse im Zusammenhang mit 1 Chronicles, 7:

1 Chronicles 7:40: "All these were descendants of Aser, heads of family, brave men, princes. They were recorded according to their genealogies for military service: 26,000 men." This verse mentions the tribe of Aser and his descendants, who were brave men and fit for military service, and also highlights the importance of genealogies in the organization of the nation of Israel.
