Hebrews, 7

3. There is no mention of father, mother or genealogy; nothing is said about the beginning or the end of his life. In this he is the figure of the Son of God, the priest who remains forever.

Hebrews 7 deals mainly on the priesthood of Melchizedek and how he relates to the priesthood of Jesus. Psalm 110:4: "The Lord has sworn and will not repent: You are eternal priest, according to the Order of Melchizedek." This verse is quoted several times in Hebrews 7 to emphasize the superiority of the priesthood of Melchizedek over the Levitic Priesthood.

Here, the author of Hebrews emphasizes the importance of Jesus' death for the remission of sins and the inauguration of a new pact.

Hebrews 10:10: "In which will have been sanctified by the oblation of the body of Jesus Christ, made once." This verse highlights the importance of Jesus' death as a unique and sufficient offer for the sanctification of believers.
