Genesis 13 tells the story of Abram and Lot separating, after becoming very rich in cattle and goods. Abram offered Lot the choice of place where they would settle, and Lot chose the fertile land of the Jordan Valley. Here are five verses related to the topics addressed in Genesis 13:
Genesis 12:7: "The Lord appeared to Abram and said, 'To your descent I will give this land.' There Abram built an altar dedicated to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
