Revelation 12 talks about a pregnant woman who is persecuted by the dragon and her son is raptured to God and his throne. Five verses that relate to the themes of this chapter are:
Isaiah 54:17: "No instrument forged against you will succeed, and you will refute every language that accuses it. This is the inheritance of the Lord's servants, and this is the defense I make of their name," says the Lord. This verse emphasizes divine protection against persecution and attempts to destroy the enemies of God's people.
Psalms 2:9: "With an iron stick you will crumble them like a potter vase." This verse portrays the victory of the Son of God over his enemies and his authority over the nations.
Isaiah 7:14: "Therefore, the Lord Himself will give them a sign: The Virgin will be pregnant and give birth to a son, and call him Emanuel." This verse makes a connection with the pregnant woman in Revelation 12, indicating that she represents the nation of Israel.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: "For the Lord will come down from heaven with a cry of command, with a voice of archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will raise first. They in the clouds, to find the Lord in the air. And so we will be forever with the Lord. " This verse describes the rapture of the saints, which relates to the rapture of the woman's son in Revelation 12.
Daniel 7:13-14: "I kept looking at my night visions, and there was, coming in the clouds of heaven, someone as a son of man. He approached the old man of days and was led to his presence. He was given Authority, glory, and power over all peoples, nations and tongues, and all will worship him. " This verse also relates to the authority and victory of the Son of God, which is emphasized in Revelation 12.
