Nehemiah, 11

1. The leaders of the people took up residence in Jerusalem, and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one man in ten to reside in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the other nine would remain in the other cities.

Joshua 21:2: "They spoke to them in Silo, in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord ordered through Moses to be given cities to dwell, and his arms to our cattle." This verse relates to Nehemiah 11, as both deal with the need for the tribes of Israel to have cities to inhabit.

Ezekiel 48:30-31: "And these are the exits of the city: on the north side, four thousand five hundred cubits by measure. And the doors of the city will be according to the names of the tribes of Israel: three doors to the north: the door of Ruben, one; the door of Judah, another; Levi's door, another. " This verse describes the city of Jerusalem, including its division in tribes. This relates to the selection of leaders by Draw in Nehemiah 11, who represented the tribes of Israel that inhabited the city.
