1 Samuel, 25

25. Let not my lord pay attention to that worthless man Nabal, for he is just like his name. Fool is his name, and he acts the fool. I, your handmaid, did not see the young men whom my lord sent.

1 Samuel 25 narrates the story of Abigail, wife of Nabal, a rude and foolish man who refuses to help David and his men in a moment of necessity. Romans 12:19: "You shall not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give the wrath of God, for it is written, My is revenge; I will reward, say the Lord." David trusts God to deal with those who offend him, instead of seeking revenge on his own.
