1 Samuel, 25

18. Abigail quickly got together two hundred loaves, two skins of wine, five dressed sheep, five seahs of roasted grain, a hundred cakes of pressed raisins, and two hundred cakes of pressed figs, and loaded them on asses.

1 Samuel 25 narrates the story of Abigail, wife of Nabal, a rude and foolish man who refuses to help David and his men in a moment of necessity. Ecclesiastes 7:9: "Do not have a rush in your spirit to anger, because wrath rests within the fools." David shows wisdom by refusing to retaliate against Nabal and his men, although he was insulted and disrespected.

Romans 12:19: "You shall not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give the wrath of God, for it is written, My is revenge; I will reward, say the Lord." David trusts God to deal with those who offend him, instead of seeking revenge on his own.
