Chapter 10 of 2 Chronicles narrates the story of how King Roban, Son of Solomon, became the king of Judah after his father's death. 1 Kings 12:15: "Then the king did not hear the people; for this change came from the Lord, that the word that the Lord had spoken through Aeas, the Silonite, Jeroboam, son of Naters." This verse talks about how the division of the kingdom of Israel was prophesied by God. This shows that the division was not only a consequence of Rehoboam's actions, but also a part of the divine plan.

This verse is similar to the prophecy of 1 Kings 12:15, showing that the people's desire for a different leader was seen as a rejection of God as his king.
Galatians 5:14: "For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." This verse emphasizes the importance of love and empathy in dealing with other people. If Roban had loved his people and considered his needs, he could have avoided the division of the kingdom of Israel.
