Galatians, 3

2. There is only one thing I should like you to tell me: How was it that you received the Spirit -- was it by the practice of the Law, or by believing in the message you heard?

Galatians 2:16 - "Knowing that man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, we also have believed in Jesus Christ, to be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law; No works of the law no flesh will be justified. " This verse reinforces Paul's argument in Galatians 3 that justification comes only by faith and not by the works of the law.

Philippians 3:9 - "And being found in Him, not having my righteousness that comes from the law, but that comes by faith in Christ, namely the righteousness that comes from God by faith." This verse points out that justice does not come through the works of the law, but only by faith in Christ.
