Deuteronomy, 24

5. 'If a man is newly married, he must not join the army, nor must he be pestered at home; he must be left at home, free of all obligations for one year, to make his new wife happy.

1 John 3:17: "But if anyone has material resources and sees his brother, but he closes his heart to him, how can the love of God be in him?" This verse highlights the importance of helping those who are in need and not be selfish with our resources.

Matthew 6:14-15: "For if they forgive each other's offenses, heavenly Father will forgive you too. But if they do not forgive each other, the heavenly Father will not forgive your offenses." This verse highlights the importance of forgiveness and mercy, which is emphasized in Deuteronomy 24 regarding the cancellation of debt.
