9. There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets which Moses had placed in it at Horeb, the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh made with the Israelites when they came out of Egypt.

John 2:19-21: "Jesus answered, and said unto them, Detrine this temple, and in three days I will lift him. The Jews said, in forty-six years, this temple was built, and thou shalt get him up in three Days? But he spoke of the temple of his body. " This verse is a reference to the body of Jesus as the new temple, emphasizing the importance of faith in Christ as the way to salvation.
