1. "Que votre c?ur ne se trouble point. Vous croyez en Dieu, croyez aussi en moi.

1. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.

2. Il y a beaucoup de demeures dans la maison de mon Père; s'il en était autrement, je vous l'aurais dit, car je vais vous y préparer une place.

2. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

3. Et lorsque je m'en serai allé et que je vous aurai préparé une place, je reviendrai, et je vous prendrai avec moi, afin que là où je suis, vous y soyez aussi;

3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.

4. Et là où je vais, vous en savez le chemin."

4. Where (I) am going you know the way."

5. Thomas lui dit: "Seigneur, nous ne savons où vous allez; comment donc en saurions-nous le chemin?"

5. Thomas said to him, "Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?"

6. Jésus lui dit: "Je suis le chemin, la vérité et la vie; nul ne vient au Père que par moi.

6. Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

7. Si vous m'aviez connu, vous auriez aussi connu mon Père?Dès à présent, vous le connaissez et vous l'avez vu."

7. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him."

8. Philippe lui dit: "Seigneur, montrez-nous le Père, et cela nous suffit."

8. Philip said to him, "Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."

9. Jésus lui répondit: "Il y a longtemps que je suis avec vous, et tu ne m'as pas connu? Philippe, celui qui m'a vu, a vu aussi le Père. Comment peux-tu dire: Montrez-nous le Père!

9. Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

10. Ne crois-tu pas que je suis dans le Père, et que le Père est en moi? Les paroles que je vous dis, je ne les dis pas de moi-même: le Père qui demeure en moi fait lui-même ces ?uvres.

10. Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works.

11. Croyez sur ma parole que je suis dans le Père, et que le Père est en moi.

11. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves.

12. Croyez-le du moins à cause de ces ?uvres. En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, celui qui croit en moi fera aussi les ?uvres que je fais, et il en fera de plus grandes,

12. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.

13. Parce que je m'en vais au Père, et que tout ce que vous demanderez au Père en mon nom, je le ferai, afin que le Père soit glorifié dans le Fils.

13. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14. Si vous me demandez quelque chose en mon nom, je le ferai.

14. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.

15. Si vous m'aimez, gardez mes commandements.

15. "If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

16. Et moi, je prierai le Père, et il vous donnera un autre Consolateur, pour qu'il demeure toujours avec vous;

16. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always,

17. C'est l'Esprit de vérité, que le monde ne peut recevoir, parce qu'il ne le voit point et ne le connaît point: mais vous, vous le connaissez, parce qu'il demeure au milieu de vous; et il sera en vous.

17. the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it. But you know it, because it remains with you, and will be in you.

18. Je ne vous laisserai point orphelins; je viendrai à vous.

18. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

19. Encore un peu de temps, et le monde ne me verra plus; mais vous, vous me verrez, parce que je vis, et que vous vivez.

19. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live and you will live.

20. En ce jour-là, vous connaîtrez que je suis en mon Père, et vous en moi, et moi en vous.

20. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father and you are in me and I in you.

21. Celui qui a mes commandements et qui les garde, c'est celui-là qui m'aime; et celui qui m'aime sera aimé de mon Père; et moi je l'aimerai et je me manifesterai à lui."

21. Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him."

22. Judas, non pas l'Iscariote, lui dit: "Seigneur, comment se fait-il que vous vouliez vous manifester à nous, et non au monde?"

22. Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him, "Master, (then) what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?"

23. Jésus lui répondit: "Si quelqu'un m'aime, il gardera ma parole, et mon Père l'aimera, et nous viendrons à lui, et nous ferons chez lui notre demeure.

23. Jesus answered and said to him, "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.

24. Celui qui ne m'aime pas, ne gardera pas mes paroles. Et la parole que vous entendez n'est pas de moi, mais du Père qui m'a envoyé.

24. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me.

25. Je vous ai dit ces choses pendant que je demeure avec vous.

25. "I have told you this while I am with you.

26. Mais le Consolateur, l'Esprit-Saint, que mon Père enverra en mon nom, lui, vous enseignera toutes choses, et vous rappellera tout ce que je vous ai dit.

26. The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name--he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you.

27. Je vous laisse la paix, je vous donne ma paix; je ne la donne pas comme la donne le monde. Que votre c?ur ne se trouble point et ne s'effraye point.

27. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.

28. Vous avez entendu que je vous ai dit: Je m'en vais, et je reviens à vous. Si vous m'aimiez, vous vous réjouiriez de ce que je vais au Père, car mon Père est plus grand que moi.

28. You heard me tell you, 'I am going away and I will come back to you.' If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.

29. Et maintenant, je vous ai dit ces choses avant qu'elles n'arrivent, afin que, quand elles seront arrivées, vous croyiez.

29. And now I have told you this before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe.

30. Je ne m'entretiendrai plus guère avec vous, car le Prince de ce monde vient et il n'a rien en moi.

30. I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me,

31. Mais afin que le monde sache que j'aime mon Père, et que j'agis selon le commandement que mon Père m'a donné, levez-vous, partons d'ici."

31. but the world must know that I love the Father and that I do just as the Father has commanded me. Get up, let us go.
