Revelation 9 describes the opening of the fifth and sixth seals, which results in the release of terrible pests on the earth. In the fifth seal, the persecution of the saints is revealed and, in the sixth seal, the devastation of earth and heaven. Here are five verses related to the topics covered in Revelation 9:
Matthew 24:21: "Then there will be great tribulation, as has never been from the beginning of the world so far, nor will there be." This verse describes the tribulation that will occur during the end of time, similar to what is described in the fifth seal of Revelation 9.
Luke 21:25:25-26: "There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; on the earth, anguish between nations in perplexity because of the bustle of the sea and the waves; men fainting from terror, expecting things that will survive to the world."
