Deuteronomy, 31

12. Call the people together, men, women, children, and the foreigner residing with you, so that, hearing it, they may learn to fear Yahweh your God and keep and observe all the words of this Law.

Deuteronomy 31 addresses the transition from Moses to Joshua and the importance of obedience to God's law. Joshua 23:6: "He thirsts hard to keep you and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, not turning to you to the right or left." Joshua reminds the people of the importance of obeying God's law and not deviating from it.

Psalm 119:165: "Great peace have those who love your law, and for them there is no stumble." Obedience to God's law brings peace and avoids sin.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust the Lord of all your heart, and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." Confidence in God and obedience to your law are important for guidance in life.

Romans 2:13: "For the simple listeners of the law are not righteous before God, but those who practice the law will be justified." Obedience to God's Law is important for justification before Him.
