James, 5

12. But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath, but let your "Yes" mean "Yes" and your "No" mean "No," that you may not incur condemnation.

Ephesians 6:18: "With all prayer and supplication, praying at all times in the Spirit and for this watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." The apostle Paul encourages the faithful to pray continuously, both by themselves and others, demonstrating the importance of prayer in times of difficulty.

1 Peter 4:8: "First of all, however, he tends to be fiery to one another; for love covers a multitude of sins." Love and solidarity are fundamental in times of difficulty, such as those described in St. James 5, and Peter emphasizes the importance of loving each other and helping each other.
