Deuteronomy 2:4-"Give him war, fight him." This verse is God's instruction for the Israelites to fight against the people of Seom, the king of the Amorites. He shows that although the Israelites were on a journey to the promised land, they would still have to fight for it.
Deuteronomy 2:19 - "And you have not contained with them, nor with Moab; you did not fight them, there was nor battle." Moses reminds the Israelites that they should not fight the Moabites, for God gave them that earth as inheritance. Deuteronomy 2:25 - "From today I will begin to put the terror and fear of you over the peoples under the whole heaven, who hear your fame and shake before you." " This verse highlights the belief that God was controlling the fate of the Israelites and that his enemies were being delivered into his hands by divine will.
Deuteronomy 2:37 - "Only with the land of the children of Ammon you have not arrived, neither to the entire Ribeira Jaboque, nor to the cities in the mountain, nor anywhere the Lord our God has forbidden." This verse resembles the Israelites that they should not fight the children of Ammon, for God did not give them this land.
