Matthew, 15

32. Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way."

St. Matthew 15 talks about the controversies between Jesus and the Pharisees regarding religious rituals and traditions. Jesus teaches that what contaminates man is not what goes through his mouth, but what comes out of it, that is, the words and actions. He criticizes the Pharisees for following human traditions over God's commandments.

Isaiah 29:13: "The Lord says, 'These people approach me with the mouth and honor me with the lips, but their hearts are far from me. The worship that gives me is made only of rules taught by men. '"This verse relates to Jesus' criticism of the Pharisees for following human traditions rather than God's commandments.
