Jeremiah, 44

27. Behold, I am watching over them for evil and not for good; all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, until there is an end of them.

In Jeremiah 44, God condemns the people of Judah for their continuous disobedience and for persisting to worship foreign gods. The people refuse to hear God's message and claim that they will continue to worship the "Queen of Heaven." Deuteronomy 28:15: "However, if you do not obey the Lord your God, and carefully follow all your commandments and decrees that I give you today, all these curses will come upon you and reach them." Exodus 20:3-6: "Thou shalt not have other gods before me. Thou shalt not make it a sculpted image, nor any figure on heaven, nor under the earth, nor in the waters under the earth.
