Jeremiah, 48

2. the pride of Moab is no more! At Heshbon they plotted her downfall, 'Come, let us put an end to her as a nation!' And you too, inhabitants of Madmen, will be silenced, the sword will be after you.

Jeremiah 48 describes the imminent destruction of Moab by the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, because of his arrogance and wickedness against God. The verses selected below describe the divine judgment on Moab, the lamentation of their people, and God's sovereignty over all nations.
