James, 1

13. Never, when you are being put to the test, say, 'God is tempting me'; God cannot be tempted by evil, and he does not put anybody to the test .

Versi relativi a James, 1:

St. James Chapter 1 deals with perseverance in trial and the importance of listening and practicing the Word of God. To provide five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter, we will exclude St. James's verses.

Romans 5:3-4: "Not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, because we know that tribulation produces perseverance; perseverance, an approved character; and the approved character, hope." This verse shows that perseverance in trial produces a character approved by God and, finally, hope.

Hebrews 12:1: "Therefore, we, as we have such a great cloud of witnesses, leave us all the embarrassment and sin that so closely surrounds us, and with perseverance, the career that is proposed with us." This verse urges Christians to run their career of life with perseverance and put aside the embarrassment and sins.

1 Peter 1:22: "Purifying your soul into obedience to the truth, for unhealthy fraternal love, ardently love you with a pure heart." This verse shows the importance of obeying the truth of God and loving each other with a pure heart.

Luke 11:28: "But he answered, Rather, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!" This verse highlights the importance of listening and keeping the Word of God.

John 13:17: "You know these things, blessed you are if you practice them." This verse emphasizes the importance of practicing what is known, not just listening and knowing the Word of God.
