Liber Numeri, 28

1. Dixit quoque Dominus ad Moysen:

1. The LORD said to Moses,

2. “Praecipe filiis Is rael et dices ad eos: Oblationem meam et panem meum, sacrificium ignis in odorem suavissimum offerte per tempora sua.

2. "Command the people of Israel, and say to them, `My offering, my food for my offerings by fire, my pleasing odor, you shall take heed to offer to me in its due season.'

3. Hoc est sacrificium ignis, quod offerre debetis: agnos anniculos immaculatos duos cotidie in holocaustum sempiternum;

3. And you shall say to them, This is the offering by fire which you shall offer to the LORD: two male lambs a year old without blemish, day by day, as a continual offering.

4. unum offeretis mane et alterum ad vesperam;

4. The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer in the evening;

5. decimam partem ephi similae in oblationem, quae conspersa sit oleo purissimo et habeat quartam partem hin.

5. also a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a cereal offering, mixed with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil.

6. Holocaustum iuge est, quod obtulistis in monte Sinai in odorem suavissimum, sacrificium ignis Domino;

6. It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained at Mount Sinai for a pleasing odor, an offering by fire to the LORD.

7. et libabitis vini quartam partem hin per agnos singulos; in sanctuario effundetis libamen potus inebriantis Domino.

7. Its drink offering shall be a fourth of a hin for each lamb; in the holy place you shall pour out a drink offering of strong drink to the LORD.

8. Alterumque agnum similiter offeretis ad vesperam, iuxta ritum sacrificii matutini: sacrificium ignis in odorem suavissimum Domino.

8. The other lamb you shall offer in the evening; like the cereal offering of the morning, and like its drink offering, you shall offer it as an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD.

9. Die autem sabbati offeretis duos agnos anniculos immaculatos et duas decimas similae oleo conspersae et libamentum eius.

9. "On the sabbath day two male lambs a year old without blemish, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a cereal offering, mixed with oil, and its drink offering:

10. Est holocaustum sabbati per singula sabbata, praeter holocaustum sempiternum et libamentum eius.

10. this is the burnt offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

11. In calendis autem offeretis holocaustum Domino vitulos de armento duos, arietem unum, agnos anniculos septem immaculatos

11. "At the beginnings of your months you shall offer a burnt offering to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish;

12. et tres decimas similae oleo conspersae in oblatione per singulos vitulos et duas decimas similae oleo conspersae per singulos arietes,

12. also three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a cereal offering, mixed with oil, for each bull; and two tenths of fine flour for a cereal offering, mixed with oil, for the one ram;

13. et decimam unam similae oleo conspersae in oblatione per agnos singulos: holocaustum in odorem suavissimum, sacrificium ignis Domino.

13. and a tenth of fine flour mixed with oil as a cereal offering for every lamb; for a burnt offering of pleasing odor, an offering by fire to the LORD.

14. Libamenta autem eorum ista erunt: media pars hin vini per singulos vitulos, tertia per arietem, quarta per agnum. Hoc erit holocaustum per omnes menses, qui sibi anno vertente succedunt.

14. Their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine for a bull, a third of a hin for a ram, and a fourth of a hin for a lamb; this is the burnt offering of each month throughout the months of the year.

15. Hircus quoque offeretur Domino pro peccato, praeter holocaustum sempiternum cum libamentis suis.

15. Also one male goat for a sin offering to the LORD; it shall be offered besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

16. Mense autem primo, quarta decima die mensis Pascha Domini erit,

16. "On the fourteenth day of the first month is the LORD's passover.

17. et quinta decima die sollemnitas. Septem diebus vescemini azymis,

17. And on the fifteenth day of this month is a feast; seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.

18. quarum die prima conventus sanctus erit; omne opus servile non facietis in ea.

18. On the first day there shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no laborious work,

19. Offeretisque sacrificium ignis, holocaustum Domino: vitulos de armento duos, arietem unum, agnos anniculos immaculatos septem;

19. but offer an offering by fire, a burnt offering to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old; see that they are without blemish;

20. et oblationem singulorum ex simila, quae conspersa sit oleo, tres decimas per singulos vitulos et duas decimas per arietem

20. also their cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil; three tenths of an ephah shall you offer for a bull, and two tenths for a ram;

21. et decimam unam per agnos singulos, id est per septem agnos;

21. a tenth shall you offer for each of the seven lambs;

22. et hircum pro peccato unum, ut expietur pro vobis,

22. also one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you.

23. praeter holocaustum matutinum, quod semper offeretis.

23. You shall offer these besides the burnt offering of the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.

24. Ita facietis per singulos dies septem dierum: panem, sacrificium ignis in odorem suavissimum Domino praeter holocaustum iuge et libationem eius.

24. In the same way you shall offer daily, for seven days, the food of an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD; it shall be offered besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

25. Die quoque septimo conventus sanctus erit vobis; omne opus servile non facietis in eo.

25. And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work.

26. Die etiam primitivorum, quando offeretis oblationem novam Domino, in sollemnitate Hebdomadarum, conventus sanctus erit vobis; omne opus servile non facietis in ea.

26. "On the day of the first fruits, when you offer a cereal offering of new grain to the LORD at your feast of weeks, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work,

27. Offeretisque holocaustum in odorem suavissimum Domino: vitulos de armento duos, arietem unum et agnos anniculos immaculatos septem,

27. but offer a burnt offering, a pleasing odor to the LORD; two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old;

28. atque in oblatione eorum similae oleo conspersae, tres decimas per singulos vitulos, per arietem duas,

28. also their cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil, three tenths of an ephah for each bull, two tenths for one ram,

29. per agnos decimam unam, qui simul sunt agni septem;

29. a tenth for each of the seven lambs;

30. hircum quoque, qui mactatur pro expiatione,

30. with one male goat, to make atonement for you.

31. praeter holocaustum sempiternum et oblationem eius. Immaculata offeretis omnia cum libationibus suis.

31. Besides the continual burnt offering and its cereal offering, you shall offer them and their drink offering. See that they are without blemish.

28:1-2 - Dio comanda a Mosè di istruire gli Israeliti a mantenere i sacrifici quotidiani e le offerte speciali. L'importanza dei sacrifici quotidiani riflette il bisogno continuo di adorazione e dedizione a Dio (vedi anche Esodo 29:38-42 ed Ebrei 13:15-16).

28:3-8 - Il sacrificio quotidiano di due agnelli, uno al mattino e uno al tramonto, simboleggia la costanza nell'adorazione e il riconoscimento del Signore come Colui che ci sostiene. Ciò sottolinea la necessità di una consacrazione costante e di una dipendenza da Dio (vedi anche Daniele 6:10 e 1 Tessalonicesi 5:17).

28:16-25 - La celebrazione della Pasqua ebraica e la Festa dei Pani Azzimi sono considerate feste annuali che celebrano la liberazione di Israele dall'Egitto. Queste feste ricordano al popolo la redenzione e la fedeltà di Dio (cfr. anche Esodo 12:14-20 e 1 Corinzi 5:7-8).
