Jeremiah, 43

10. And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

Jeremiah 43 narrates the escape of the Jews to Egypt, even after they were warned by the prophet Jeremiah that this was not God's will. The verses below address themes related to this disobedience and rebellion of the people against God:

Jeremiah 42:19-20: "The Lord spoke to you, O remnant of Judah, do not enter Egypt. Know certainly that today I warned them today." This verse shows God's warning to the Jews, asking them not to Egypt.

Deuteronomy 28:68: "The Lord will take you back to Egypt in ships, through which I said that you would never see. There you will offer yourself as slaves to your enemies, but there will be no one who buy them."
