Ezekiel, 27

27. Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that [are] in thee, and in all thy company which [is] in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

Versi relativi a Ezekiel, 27:

Ezekiel 27 describes the city of Tire and its greatness, but also predicts its fall. The chapter mentions the wealth and trade of the city, but highlights arrogance and confidence in its own strength, rather than recognizing God as sovereign. Isaiah 23:8 - "Who decreed this about Tire, who distributed crowns whose traders were princes and whose traders were the noblest on earth?" This verse describes the wealth and position of shooting as an important shopping center.

Proverbs 16:18 - "arrogance precedes destruction; pride precedes the fall." This verse highlights the central shot problem, which has become arrogant and confident in his own strength rather than recognizing God as a sovereign.
