Deuteronomy, 18

22. When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Numbers 18:20: "The Lord said to Aaron, You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any part between them. I am your part and your inheritance among the Israelites." Jeremiah 23:16: "Thus saith the Lord of hosts, They do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak among you. They deceive them. They speak of visions of their own minds, not the mouth of the Lord." Isaiah 8:19: "When they say to you, Consult the mediums and those who consult spirits, who murmur and whisper, do not resort to such things. Should not people consult their God for the dead in favor of the living?"
