We discovered in 2 kings 12 that the High Priest Joiada summoned the priests to raise money from the people and fix the temple of the Lord, which was in a state of deterioration. Below are five biblical verses related to the topics addressed in this chapter:
Deuteronomy 15:10: "You will surely give you, and will not be evil in your heart when you give Him; This verse highlights the importance of being generous and helping others without reluctance, which relates to the spirit of contribution to the temple reform that is presented in 2 Kings 12.
Proverbs 3:9-10: "Honor to the Lord with your goods and the firstfruits of all your income; and your barns will be filled abundantly, and they shall overflow with wine." 2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each one contributes according to his heart, not with sadness or necessity; for God loves what he gives with joy." This verse highlights the importance of giving with joy and gratitude. This relates to the spirit of generosity and gratitude that is presented in 2 Kings 12, when the people contribute to the repair of the temple.
