Jeremiah, 49

12. For thus saith the Lord: Behold they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup, shall certainly drink: and shalt thou come off as innocent? thou shalt not come off as innocent, but drinking thou shalt drink.

Chapter 49 of the book of Jeremiah brings a series of judgment prophecies against various neighboring nations of Israel, including Edom, Ammon, Moab and Babylon. The verses related to these themes are:

Isaiah 21:9: "Behold, a man comes in a car with a pair of horses. He calls them and says, 'Fell, Babylon fell; all the images of their gods were broken on the floor.'" This verse talks about Fall of Babylon, one of the nations that receives a judgment prophecy in Jeremiah 49.

This verse talks about the hostility that Edom showed to Israel, which will lead the nation to receive God's wrath in Jeremiah 49.
