Ezekiel, 27

11. The men of Arad were with thy army upon thy walls round about: the Pygmeans also that were in thy towers, hung up their quivers on thy walls round about: they perfected thy beauty.

Ezekiel 27 describes the city of Tire and its greatness, but also predicts its fall. The chapter mentions the wealth and trade of the city, but highlights arrogance and confidence in its own strength, rather than recognizing God as sovereign. Isaiah 23:8 - "Who decreed this about Tire, who distributed crowns whose traders were princes and whose traders were the noblest on earth?" This verse describes the wealth and position of shooting as an important shopping center.

Proverbs 16:18 - "arrogance precedes destruction; pride precedes the fall." This verse highlights the central shot problem, which has become arrogant and confident in his own strength rather than recognizing God as a sovereign.
