2 Kings, 8

5. And when he was telling the king how he had raised one dead to life, the woman appeared, whose son he had restored to life, crying to the king for her house, and her lands. And Giezi said: My lord O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Eliseus raised to life.

Chapter 8 of 2 Kings tells the story of Hazael, a man who would eventually become king of Syria, and his interaction with the prophet Elisha and King Jehora of Israel. Hazael visits Elisha disguised and asks about the health of King Jeorão, while in fact he was interested in knowing if he would be able to become king. Later, Elisha sends one of his disciples to anoint Hazael as king of Syria, but also prophesies that he will cause much destruction. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 2 Kings 8:

Isaiah 7:16: "For before the boy knows how to say 'daddy' or 'mom', the power of apricot and the spoil of Samaria will be taken by the king of Assyria." This verse talks about the fall of apricot, which is mentioned in 2 Kings 8:7.

This verse talks about Hazael's actions, which is presented in 2 Kings 8 as a future king of Syria and that causes destruction in Israel, fulfilling Elisha's prophecy.
