Jeremiah 4 addresses the theme of God's coming judgment over the people of Judah, as well as the need for repentance and return to faithfulness to God. Next, I present five verses related to these themes:
Isaiah 26:20: "Go, my people, enter your rooms, and close your doors over you; hide you for a moment until the wrath passes." This verse brings a message similar to that of Jeremiah 4, alerting God's people to take refuge before the coming wrath of God.
Sophonies 2:3: "Seek to the Lord, you all the meek of the earth, who have put his judgment by work; seek justice, seek meekness; it may be hidden in the day of the wrath of the Lord." This verse encourages people to seek God and practice justice and meekness as a way of finding refuge during the day of God's wrath.
Ezekiel 18:30: "Therefore, I will judge you, to each one according to their ways, O house of Israel, says the Lord Jehovah. stumble. " This verse reinforces the idea that God's judgment will be based on each person's actions, and encourages people to repent and abandon their sins.
Hosea 10:12: "Semeai to you in righteousness, I ran according to mercy; WASTING THE FIELD FIELD; For it is time to seek the Lord until it comes and raining justice upon you." This verse emphasizes the importance of seeking God and practicing justice as a way of preparing for the coming judgment.
Isaiah 55:6-7: "Seek the Lord as long as one can find, invoke him while he is near. Leave the wicked his way, and the evil man his thoughts; turn to the Lord, who shall be sympathetic to him; To our God, because it is abundant in forgiving. " This verse encourages people to seek God as long as there is time, abandoning their sinful ways and turning to the Lord, who is abundant in forgiving.
