Exodus, 14

5. The king of Egypt was told that the people had fled; then Pharaoh and his ministers changed their minds with regard to the people. "What have we done," they said, "in allowing Israel to go and be free of our service?"

Exodus 14 tells the story of the Red Sea crossing by the people of Israel as they fled slavery in Egypt. Psalm 77:19: "Your way has passed the sea, your way through the powerful waters, and no one has known your footsteps." This verse talks about God's wonderful intervention at the Red Sea crossing, highlighting the greatness and power of its way.

Isaiah 43:2: "When I pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when through the rivers they will not submerge you; when you pass through fire, you will not burn you, nor the flame will burn in you."
