2 Kings, 18

16. It was at that time that Hezekiah ordered that the gold sheets, with which he himself had adorned the doorposts, be stripped from the gates of the House of Yahweh, and given to the king of Assyria.

Chapter 18 of 2 kings tells the story of Hezekiah, king of Judah, and his struggle against Senaqueribe, king of Assyria. Hezekiah leads religious reforms in Judah and refuses to submit to Senaqueribe's demands.
