Judges, 14

16. And she shed tears before Samson, and she complained, saying: “You hate me, and you do not love me. That is why you do not want to explain to me the problem, which you have proposed to the sons of my people.” But he responded: “I was not willing to reveal it to my father and mother. And so, how can I reveal it to you?”

Judges 14 tells the story of Samson, one of the judges of Israel, who asks his parents to look for a wife for him among the Philistines. They agree, but Samson falls in love with a woman who doesn't please her parents. During the wedding, Samson proposes a riddle to the party guests, who is only resolved with the help of Samson's wife. He gets furious and kills thirty Philistine men to fulfill the bet.
