Exodus, 14

12. Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying: Withdraw from us, so that we may serve the Egyptians? For it was much better to serve them, than to die in the wilderness.”

Exodus 14 tells the story of the Red Sea crossing by the people of Israel as they fled slavery in Egypt. Psalm 77:19: "Your way has passed the sea, your way through the powerful waters, and no one has known your footsteps." This verse talks about God's wonderful intervention at the Red Sea crossing, highlighting the greatness and power of its way.

Isaiah 43:2: "When I pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when through the rivers they will not submerge you; when you pass through fire, you will not burn you, nor the flame will burn in you."
