Psalms, 68

18. Thou didst ascend the high mount, leading captives in thy train, and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the LORD God may dwell there.

Psalm 68 is a poem that celebrates God's victory over His enemies and the protection He gives to His followers. The psalmist sings praises to God and exalts him as the protector of the needy. Deuteronomy 33:26-27: "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to help you, and rides in the clouds to save you. The eternal God is your dwelling, and under your eternal arms you are safe He will expel the enemy from before you and say, 'Destroy it!' "This verse speaks of God's protection over His people and their ability to defeat the enemies that oppose Him.

Isaiah 25:4: "For you have a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his anguish, a shelter against the storm and a shelter against heat, when the breath of oppressors is like a storm against the wall." - This verse speaks of the protection that God offers to the needy and oppressed, a theme that is also present in Psalm 68.

Isaiah 40:28-31: "Don't you know? You don't hear? The Lord is the eternal God, the Creator of all the earth. He does not get tired or fatigue; His understanding is unfathomable. He gives the tired and increases and increases the power of the weak. Even young people get tired and exhausted, and the young people trip and fall; but those who wait in the Lord will renew their strength. 2 Samuel 22:3-4: "My God is my rock, in him refuges me. He is my shield and the power that saves me, my towering tower. I cry to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. " - This verse speaks of God's protection and his ability to save his followers from the enemies.

Psalm 18:2-3: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my liberator; my God is my rock, in whom he refuges me. He is my shield and the power that saves me, mine Tower tower. I cry to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. " - This verse is similar to the previous one and speaks of the protection and refuge that God offers to his followers.
