Mark, 10

21. And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, "You lack one thing; go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

At the beginning of the chapter, Jesus argues with the Pharisees about divorce, teaching that marriage is a sacred union that must be maintained. Finally, a rich young man approaches Jesus and asks what he should do to inherit eternal life, and Jesus tells him to sell everything he has and follow him.

Proverbs 22:6: "Teaches the child on the path where he should walk, and even when he is elderly he will not deviate from him." This verse highlights the importance of teaching and guiding children, a message emphasized by Jesus in St. Mark 10.

Matthew 19:21: "Jesus answered, If you want to be perfect, go, sell everything you have, and give it to the poor and have a treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me." This verse is similar to Jesus' response to the young rich in St. Mark 10, emphasizing the importance of abandoning everything in favor of following Christ.
