2 Chronicles, 10

6. Then King Rehobo'am took counsel with the old men, who had stood before Solomon his father while he was yet alive, saying, "How do you advise me to answer this people?"

Chapter 10 of 2 Chronicles narrates the story of how King Roban, Son of Solomon, became the king of Judah after his father's death. This verse is similar to the prophecy of 1 Kings 12:15, showing that the people's desire for a different leader was seen as a rejection of God as his king.

Galatians 5:14: "For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." This verse emphasizes the importance of love and empathy in dealing with other people. If Roban had loved his people and considered his needs, he could have avoided the division of the kingdom of Israel.
