St. Matthew chapter 13 contains a series of parables told by Jesus about the kingdom of heaven. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4: "But if our gospel is overwhelmed, for those who are perishing it is covered. The God of this century has blinded the understanding of the unbelievers, so that they do not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ , which is the image of God. " This verse talks about the spiritual reality of unbelief and the role of the devil in blinding the minds of unbelievers so that they do not see the truth of the gospel.
