Deuteronomy, 5

9. you must not bow down to these gods or serve them. For I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God and I punish the parents' fault in the children, the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren, among those who hate me;

Exodus 20:3: "You will not have other gods before me." This is the first of the ten commandments that were reaffirmed in Deuteronomy 5, and that emphasizes the importance of worshiping God above all other gods or idols.

John 14:15: "If you love me, keep my commandments." Jesus reinforces the importance of obedience to God's commandments as proof of love to Him.

Deuteronomy 5:16: "Honor Your Father and Your Mother, as the Lord has commanded you, your God, that your days may be leaning, and that you may be happy in the earth who gives you the Lord your God." This is the fifth commandment that emphasizes the importance of honor to parents and the maintenance of family ties.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord of all your heart and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes Him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." This verse highlights the importance of trust in God and submission to Him in all areas of our lives.

Deuteronomy 5:22: "These words the Lord spoke to all your congregation on the hill, the middle of the fire, the cloud, and the darkness, with a large voice; and added nothing." This verse highlights the importance of God's message and emphasizes that it should not be modified or adulterated at all.
