Deuteronomy 29 deals with the renewal of the covenant between God and the people of Israel after the death of Moses. Deuteronomy 30:19-20: "Today I invoke heaven and earth as witnesses against you, which I put before you life and death, blessing and curse. This is the covenant I will do with the community of Israel after those days, declares the Lord. I will put my law in their heart and write it in their hearts. God, and they will be my people.
