Jeremiah, 5

3. O LORD, [are] not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, [but] they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Jeremiah 6:13-14: "For from the smallest of them to the largest, each one gives himself to greed; and from the prophet to the priest, each one practices falsehood. And heal the wound of my people lightly, saying: Peace , peace; when there is no peace. " This verse denounces the corruption of both religious leaders and the people in general.

Jeremiah 2:11: "Did you change any nation to their gods, even if they were not gods? But my people exchanged their glory for what is of no use." This verse highlights the idolatry of the people of Judah, who has abandoned the true God to worship worthless idols.
